Hayden is a Bear!!

Hayden is offically a Bear in the Cub Scouts program.  He worked hard to get this advancement and we are proud of him! I have to admit I was a bit worried when they asked him to pin the Bear to my shirt...But he did good and he even gave me a kiss on the cheek! What a sweetheart!

Easter Eggs with Maka

Decorating Easter Eggs are about the funnest thing to do in the Spring.  We did notice a problem after the first round of eggs. Maka bought brown eggs...so the colors were a bit brownish...we had a good laugh and the kids got out the markers and went to work on them instead of using the dye.

Then the egg races began...

We had lots of laughs and lots of broken eggs!

Happy Birthday Hayden

The infamous Birthday dinner at Maka's house-Hayden was so excited for this day! He got to sit in the "big" chair, he got to choose the food, he got to choose the cake! What a special day! Thanks Maka for all your effort to make this a very special day!

He got a jungle cake with candles shaped like jungle animals! We had the most amazing sorbet (see picture below). He also got $ from Great Grandma Miles, a monkey that lights up from Ellie, and the grand finale gift.....

The softest blanket in the whole world made by Maka!  He LOVES the new blanket (however still have to keep "flowers" on our bed "just in case").  Thanks Maka!

Hayden is 9!!!

Hayden celebrated his brithday and had a fantastic celebration.  The older he gets the easier it seems to be getting, however, it is not easy by any means. He has definate plans for what he wants. So we try really hard to make them happen. 
The first celebration was going to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa B, then to Target (becuase NO other store would do...) for Baseball Cleats and a Frog from Webkinz (he was notified that his subscription would run out if he did not purchase another one-all he knew was all his Webkinz were going to die if he did not resubscribe and the horror of it kept him awake for days).
He also got some LPS from his Fox cousins.  They were a big hit since they were easter bunnies, and easter was just around the corner.

On Hayden's actual brithday we got to get up and open a few presents before it was time to go to our cousin P's baptism. 

After the baptism we went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We laughed pretty hard at the movie and Hayden really enjoyed it. Then it was home for more presents and cousin time.  Hayden got a lot of under armour shirts and basketball shorts.  He also got a really soft pillow that he refused the leave the store without...    By the end of the day he was so exhausted from the emotional trip of the eventful day, he went to bed early and slept ALL night long! He didn't wake up until 9:30am! WOW!!!!                                                                  

We love this kid. He has brought a great personality from Heaven with him and we learn from him every day.  We are proud of his accomplishments, we know they are not easy for him.  He is truly an amazing and talented boy. We are blessed to have him as part of our family!

Harley the Seamstress

Harley (with minimal help from Aunt Kristi) bought, cut, and sewed this skirt! And Aunt Angie made the flower with the left over material. I am so proud of her. She clearly has been given talents that passed right over me! I think the skirt is beautiful and am so proud of her.
Last week she went to the fabric store and bought material for 3 more skirts. So I will post more pics when the skirts are finished!

The end of it all (part 2)....

Hayden also ended his basketball season this week. His team did great, they won 4 games! Hayden did a good job and shows a lot of promise for the future. I am lucky to be the mom of such talented boys!

Hunter's Basketball days are over until next year.  He was sad to see it end, but anxious to get into a better league next year. Hunter played his heart out and he proved to be a very talented player. We look forward to next year!

So, my boys get to go to Kristi's house every Wednesday while I am still at work. I would like to believe they are doing wonderful things such as reading, studying, homework, or service...when low and behold I find this story on my sister's blog...
