And the Winner is....
The Kimball Mill Ward had their 40th Birthday Party and there was a cake decorating contest. Dave started his and took it to the very last minute before he threw it away in a rage of anger...shocking?? i think not!
Harley and her YW friends make a great cake about getting married in the Temple. Hunter and I made a cake that was a tithing slip :)
So after much mocking my cake...we won "Most Original!" HA HA HA it was a fun night filled with tooooo much cake to eat!
Game 2 Hayden
Hayden Game 1
Hayden started Jr. Jazz this year and he is quite the player. We are really impressed by his mad dribbling skills. I am sure practicing with Hunter and his team has helped him develop his talent. Playing against 8 and 9 year olds is nothing compared to 11 and 12 year olds! They won this game by 4 points! It was really fun and we are proud of Hayden, he did great!
Hayden meets Cement Pillar
While I was cheering for Hunter and his very sad basketball team, Hayden was in the common area with his friends playing football. Then in comes Hayden crying and holding his head. When he moved his hand away from his eye, there was a collective intake of breathe and words of "Holy Cow, Gross, Yuck, What the-" He asked me how bad the protruding golf ball was and I told him "Oh, it is nothing. Just a little bump." Then I gave the silent signal for someone to get ice ASAP! We iced his head with a chunk of ice from the parking lot but it was so bad the next morning it was already looking pretty ugly and almost swollen shut. Then he showed me his elbow and his knee. Then the story of what happened.
He was playing football, he had the ball, he was juking his friend and when he turned to make his break...a cement pillar stood in the way. He did not even know what hit him at first. He fell on his back and grabbed his eye, started to cry, and went looking for me. All I can say is OUCH!

Game 1 "The Slaughter"
Did the title give it away? So...yeah it was a full slaughter! 4 million to 15. Our guys didn't know what hit them. But I have an idea that it was a FULL COURT PRESS, the entire game! So, the coach decided that maybe it would be best to practice 2 times a week instead of just 1. hmmm ya' think?
Ok I am over the anger...Hunter played his heart out. He really did an amazing job. And there is nothing worse than playing your heart out and loosing so incredibly bad! Well, I hope you enjoy the pics!
Scrimage 1 for Hunter
Hunter's Basketball season started in Feb. with a friendly scrimage against a team of football friends. Hunter's team definately needs some work, but Hunter did ok. It was a bit intimidating when we don't have uniforms yet and they showed up dressed to the "nines"...
We are crossing our fingers for this season and hope to win a few games!

Hunter's 5th grade Field Trip
Hunter's 5th grade had a really fun field trip this week. They started the day with a breakfast made by the mom's! Pancakes, juice, fruit, yogurt, it was yummy! Then they went to the Symphony and then to the "Downtown" Library. It was a lot of fun and as you can see the boys had a blast posing for the camera. I was lucky to have such a great group of boys! They kept me laughing!
