4th of July Extravaganza (PM)

After swimming at Kristi's house we drove to Maka's house where our long lost cousin Ellie was waiting for us.

We had a great 4th of July dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, shrimp salad, and Hunter's favorite, a flag cake!
Then it was off to the BYU Stadium of Fire!! Can you guess who was going to be performing?? Miley Cyrus. The kids were really excited and the weather was nice and overcast with a breeze. It was perfect. The concert was OK, Miley did not sing her Hannah Montana songs, so the kids were a bit disappointed. The kids were a little nervous to dance so I helped Hunter with some funky moves and after that the kids decided it was better to dance on their own that to have me help them. The fire works were amazing and lasted about 35-40 minutes. Of course Hayden was ready to leave 5 minutes after the concert started so he was happy when the fire works finally stopped!

When we got back to Maka's house it was 11:30pm and we were hot and tired. While we were gone Baka got the playhouse/shed ready for the kids to sleep in. He had a lantern, foam pads, and a CD player out there for them. They slept out side with Maka and had a great time

Saturday we went to see the movie Nim's Island. It was a very cute family movie and we all enjoyed it. Hunter felt like it was not a waste of his brain to watch it even though that was his thought before the movie started! After the movie the kids made their own ice cream sunday's and they were pretty amazing!

All in all it was a great holiday for us. We got to spend time with both families and formed lasting memories. Happy 4th!

Okay.... Uhmmmmm... So I have never seen Dave's dad before.... Truly, he can never deny that Dave is his child... WEIRD... He is an exact replica of his father... Looks like you guys had a total blast on the 4th. We did to. Don't you just love holidays!!!
